this girl on aim last night, (my exboyfriend’s new gf’s “best friend”) told me last night that she would make twice as much as i would ever see in my ife, even tho i live in boston, well 15 minutes from boston. I plan to go to the art institute and be a graphic designer. she told me that boston is a nasty, dirty city, but I know thats not true, cuz ive seen it myself, more than a few times. Yes, there are homeless people in Boston, but isnt that because they couldnt make it in the real world, or didnt apply their knowlege in there everyday life, & lost their house, because they werent making enough money to pay their rent/mortgage because rent is more expensive (becuase people make more money) than in roanoke, virginia (where she lives).
please tell me you agree that boston is a richer city than roanoke, virginia. google images of roanoke if you have to, its obvious what city is better, roanoke isnt even a city, its just a gangsterville of wanna be’s & thugs.
it sounds like this girl is just trying to put herself down to make herself feel better. Having been born and raised in Boston proper, I obviously love Boston and don’t want to hear anyone speak ill of it.
Roanoke is also a lovely (albeit very rural compared to Boston) place to live.
Obviously the rate of pay is higher in Boston because the cost of living is higher.
This girl seriously sounds like she needs to get a life. keep your head up and good luck w/ the graphic design career =)
