The theater scene in London follows a longstanding tradition of culture and live arts. It attracts both the unknown and world famous actors from around the world. Known actors from the silver screen frequently take parts on stage in London. On top of the theatre booking you may also want to consider the rest of your evening. From the thirties it’s specialised mostly in light comedies, thrillers and farces. At the time of writing is showing the Rain Man and has host many comedians such as Jack Dee.
Royal Court Theater
Founded in 1956 the Royal Court Theater is dedicated to producing new work from the best writers in the United Kingdom and beyond. This venue has a bar and bookstore on site. The young writer’s festival is a regular event that brings fresh ideas and new voices to the stage.
Theatre Royal Haymarket
The Theatre Royal Haymarket has played host to the best actors, writers and directors for almost three centuries. The Haymarket’s location makes it an ideal group destination. At the time writing, the Haymarket is showing Marguerite, a love story and musical inspired by the writings of Dumas.
Novello theatre
Novello theatre opened on 22 May 1905. It was designed by W.G.R. Sprague who had developed an early love of the stage from his Mother, the actress Dolores Drummond. At time of writing they are showing shows such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Taming of the Shrew and Hamlet.
The National Theater
The National Theater is ideally situated for a group outing with convenient dining in the Mezzanine Restaurant. Younger performers and directors are showcased at the Young Vic Theater.
